These charges are determined by the U.S. Government and local customs authority and must be paid upon delivery for orders shipped as Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).
We recommend contacting your local customs office for an estimate, though this may change by time of delivery.
Studio East6 or the designated shipping courier will email you the customs invoice once it is issued. If the invoice is not paid within 5 days, the order will be marked for return to the country of origin, per courier standards.

• Customs fees and processing timelines are determined by local authorities and are unfortunately outside the control of Studio East6.
• If duties are refused or left unpaid, your package will be returned to origin country or destroyed. In such cases, no refunds will be issued.

Ready-to-Ship:

• Ship directly from our Chicago studio (not India).
• No import duties within the U.S.

Made-to-Order:

• As industry standard, orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees, which are not included in the product price.
• Tariffs and duties within the U.S. can change daily.
• Shipments are sent DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid). Duties/taxes must be paid to the courier before release.
• Studio East6 is not liable for any import-related expenses.

International

• All international orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid).
• Duties, import taxes, and customs fees are not included in the product price and vary by country.
• These fees must be paid before your package can clear customs; carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS) may collect them upon delivery.
• Studio East6 is not responsible for any customs-related fees or delays.

India

• For orders shipped within India:
• No import duties apply.
• GST/local taxes may be applicable.

This product is exclusively handcrafted just for you, with detailed artisan-led processes. Please note, because of this, subtle variations in color, texture, drape, embroidery, sculpting, or embellishments may occur.

Differences may also arise due to lighting, photography, and the nuances of handwork. These characteristics are inherent to artisanal craftsmanship and not considered defects, but part of the uniqueness of each outfit.

For custom orders, the scale and placement of motifs, patterns, and design elements may shift according to the client’s measurements and sizing. Reference images shown on standard sample sizes may not reflect proportion changes that occur when translating a design to a different size. Such adjustments are a normal and expected part of creating a made-to-order, handcrafted garment.
